It gets much worse. I can only assume that his 5 year old granddaughter designed it for him.

Voting for him? No. Just no.

You gotta love this guy, though: He plans to (1) cut taxes severely by replacing the income tax with a higher sales tax, then (2) spend a shitload of money on a light rail project. How can you do both?

I worked as a graphic designer for a couple years. We had to proofread our own ads, because if the proofreader for the publication I was working for caught a mistake, there would be hell to pay...

To this day, I won't visit a business who cannot spell things properly in their ads.

Dead giveaway to a teabagging wingnut.

However, at least this guy knows about light, high speed rail, the local Rail Runner as his guide.

I'd love to know if he wants the kind of small government that sticks its head up the vaginas of every woman in the state before I vote, though.

That's the one line I will never cross, sort of like the Abolitionist line in the 1850s.

ETA: Here is his official site and the your/you're gaffe is far from the worst: http://www.electjimmyschmidt4senator.com/

be likely to vote for a Republican.

Mayor Ray Nagin (NOLA) was a Republican Chamber of Commerce type who ran as a Democrat because the people of New Orleans would not have elected him as a Republican:

From Slate online magazine:

. . . Nagin had such a strange and checkered political career. In 2001 he was a Republican businessman. In 2002 he was a Democrat running for the only political office he ever held. In 2003, after he asked GOP gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal what he could do for New Orleans and got a detailed response, he was that rarest of birds: a black Democratic mayor endorsing a Republican <emphasis added>.
