Goodbye to the Republican Wave?

Still No Signs of a GOP Wave

Nate Cohn: "This year seemed poised to turn into another so-called wave election, like in 2006 or 2010, when a rising tide of dissatisfaction with the incumbent party swept the opposition into power. Given a favorable midterm map, with so many Democratic Senate seats in play, some analysts suggested that Republicans could win a dozen of them, perhaps even picking up seats in states like Virginia, New Hampshire and Oregon."

"The anti-Democratic wave might still arrive. But with three and a half months to go until November's elections, the promised Republican momentum has yet to materialize."

and all that we need to do is get the truth. The Republicans can't counter that. If our message is clear and direct we will withstand this midterm dissatisfaction vote. Democrats need to stand behind ACA and President Obama. Anything less will cause them to pay heavily because the electorate is frustrated and will strike at whatever target they perceive.

An anti-democrat wave would probably fire up the other side, which would certainly work against us. The lack of it won't necessarily work in our favor though. When turnout is low, the republicans usually win anyway. We really need to fire up our base somehow and get out the vote, or we just lose by default.

I think right now the electorate is more confused than normal. These include many "regular voters" who most likely vote Republican. There is indeed a chance that they won't show up as the Republicans have really been grand standing an awful way forward and I think some folks are beginning to actually see this.

Yep! Getting out the base this Nov. is absolutely essential!
