'No safe place for civilians' in Gaza, says UN, as child death toll reaches 149

Palestinian civilians in densely-populated Gaza have no place to hide from Israel's military offensive and children are paying the heaviest price, the United Nations said.

Israel pounded targets across the Gaza Strip, saying no ceasefire was near as United States and UN diplomats pursued talks on halting the fighting that has claimed more than 600 lives as the conflict entered its third week.

The overwhelming majority of people killed so far in the conflict are Palestinians, including 149 Gaza children, the UN's Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on Tuesday. Gaza's Health Ministry said 155 children had been killed.

At a United Nations Security Council meeting the Palestinian envoy to the UN held up photographs of children slain in Gaza and read out names of the dead as he pleaded for action from the council.

"On behalf of the Palestinian people, we ask: What is the international community doing to stop this bloodletting, to stop Israel's atrocities?" Riyad Mansour said during a debate on the Gaza crisis on Tuesday.

Its bad enough that they are massacring children and innocent women, but to make things worse, the Israeli's and their apologists that post on here have the gall to blame the victims for being targets of Israeli bombs and bullets.

Its truly baffles the mind how Israeli apologists (you know who you are), can try and convince others that the children being blown to bits by Israeli bombs are not the victims of the Israeli's who are sending the bombs, but the victims of Hamas. lol

This is how bad it has gotten in the U.S. Israel can do anything it likes, kill hundreds of children, women and innocents, bomb schools, target and bomb hospitals, and America (and its allies) and the Israeli apologists both in the media and on here can get away with blaming Hamas for missiles dropped from Israeli warplanes.

Just imagine if Hamas had of attacked a hospital in the middle of Tel Aviv, the world would be up in arms with condemnation calling the Palestinians brutal and inhuman, BUT Israel does it and the apologists actually dare to suggest that the Palestinians are the brutal and inhumane ones for not taking away the excuse for Israel to attack a hospital.

Its just laughable I tell ya.

This is a sickening massacre that Israel is carrying out.

They won't end until they've killed over a thousand.

You are right that no one with any decency can blame the victims here, BUT America, Israel and their apologists in the media and on here don't care about decency, they still blame the victims.

Just look at the mentality of Israel and its apologists.
They act horrified when a Palestinian suicide bomber or rocket blows up a place full of civilians inside Israel, they cry that the Palestinians are inhumane and brutal for targeting and killing innocents.

Yet when Israel itself levels an entire building with one massive bomb killing entire innocent families, they have the gall to try and place the blame on the Palestinians.

Somehow when a Palestinian kills a handful of Israeli, it proves in their eyes that the Palestinians are brutal, yet when Israel kills 150 children they act like they were forced to do it against their will.

Its madness I tells ya.

Thats actually how they think...exterminate them before they grow up to be soldiers fighting them. It happens here to as far as prison, economic inequality and cops who kill...they do not want the Black population to assimilate or make any gains where they can alter the status quo.

I long for the day when our country does not support with arms and encouragement nearly every genocidal psychopathic nation it can "befriend" on this horrid planet.

And yes, Israel the nation has become as infamous as the worst this globe has spawn.

Unlike the Jewish people I know and have known personally, they do not appear to know the God described to me by the decent folks I have met. Jews should start leaving Israel, at least those that do not take pleasure in the death of children.

If there is blood on the hands of Putin because of his support of the rebels in another free nation, Bibi's hands are soaked in the children's blood of an imprisoned nation.

This whole episode was orchestrated. Somebody wanted this war, this genocide. My subjective opinion is it was planned and executed. The origins of this present condition do not match this outcome. I have little doubt.
