KISS My Ass – Washed Up Rocker Tells The Poor To Worship His Money

The San Diego Union-Tribune had an interview with veteran rocker Gene Simmons from the band Kiss recently which went off the rails very early, revealing that self-styled “marketing genius” is little more than another self-entitled freeloader who believes he owes nothing to his fan base for the lifestyle he now lives.

From the article:

When asked how it felt being part of the 1 percent, the “genius” behind “Kiss Meet The Phantom” had this to say.

It’s fantastic! The 1 percent pays 80 percent of all taxes. Fifty percent of the population of the U.S. pays no taxes. The 1 percent provides all the jobs for everybody else. If the 1 percent didn’t exist, there would be chaos and the American economy would drop dead. Try being nice to rich people. I don’t remember the last poor person who gave me a job.

back in the 70's in a complete misunderstanding of the type of music I like some of my POOR Kentucky relatives bought me an album by this asshole. Of course, back then we did not know he was such an asshole, he was just a bad guitarist who wrote bad songs.

But my point is that my POOR relatives, by buying his shitty album, did indeed give that miserable motherfucker a "job."

So blow it out your ass Ted. At least that will make a noise worth hearing.

is a direct result of those poor fans who make up the struggling 99% he disdains? Those people worked, saved and spent their hard earned money on all his concert tickets, albums, and Kiss memorabilia that made him very rich. He has a very poor memory if he's forgotten it was indeed the "poor people" who gave him that very lucrative job.

The company started by Gary Gygax and Don Kaye eventually ended up being owned primarily by Lorraine Williams. Ms. Williams was heiress to the Buck Rogers IP. Any way, she's running the biggest RPG company in the world and openly shows disdain for the gamers who are her customers. She DESPISED gamers and was rude to them at conventions.

She eventually drove ithe company into the ground and it was only saved by being bought out by Wizards of the Coast.

"Detroit Rock City" = most cringe inducing bass line ever.

So much fail in one statement. The 1 percent don't pay 80% of all taxes, and even if they did, it's kind of justified since they own 85% of all the wealth. The Heritage-concocted 50% (I thought it was 47%??) Lie that Romney kept parroting has been debunked so many damned times it's not even worth recycling. The one percent couldn't provide job ONE if no one demanded their product . . . or if no one was able to AFFORD their product (but I don't expect Mr. Witz to connect those dots).

If the one percent didn't exist, you'd have an economy that would be fairer, more balanced, possess a far stronger safety net with universal health care, less concerned about military shenanigans just "because", have FAR LESS chaos and would be able to recover from tough times faster (see: Germany, much of Scandanavia, Canada, etc).

Fuck being nice to rich people who can't see the big picture. If poor people didn't purchase your merchandise, you wouldn't BE rich, stupid. No one HAD to like you.

Sometimes I wonder if they're all like that. I guess they have to tell themselves all sorts of ridiculous stories to justify their disproportionate wealth. Some of them start thinking that the world needs them, that they deserve to have their asses kissed all the time and that they're necessary to keep the world turning around.

The people who scrape gum from under benches at the park are more necessary than they are. They serve no purpose at all. If they didn't exist, don't they realize that there are a ton of people who are better at what they do who would move up and take their place? Fools. They are so goddamn lucky.
