In a 2004 Athens Banner-Herald story about the influx of women into politics, Hice said, "If the woman's within the authority of her husband, I don't see a problem."

to ask for their spouses support. THAT is simply furthering a good relationship. But for this AH to state that "A woman must have her husband's authorization" to run is obscene. I wonder what HIS wife has to say about that?...of maybe he doesn't have a wife; just a slave.
