MTP this morning....UGH!!! Five minutes and I had to turn it off.

I just caught their round table discussion of marijuana legalization. The usual suspects of DC insiders talked about how legalization would affect their comfortable upper class lifestyle and how they might have difficulty explaining marijuana is bad to their kids. This was the sole focus of their discussion. Nothing about national/international narco trafficking and terrorism, effects on local economies of added tax revenue. A passing mention of reduced crime which was summarily dismissed, and no mention what so ever of the devastating impact on minorities civil rights being violated and the establishment of criminal records.

The important thing was they might have to have an uncomfortable conservation with their teenagers. Of course their kids will never have to go through the meat grinder of the criminal justice system as some kid from Brooklyn found to have a joint in his pocket.

MTP cannot die soon enough. Don't bother trying to find a replacement for Gregory. Just put that show out of it's misery and cancel it. Run cartoons instead.

sounding like MADD. Lame.

They probably have the illusions that their little darlings will be less tempted than they were when they were in college in the 70's and 80's. Fat chance.

Yeah, MTP is an aging old geezer when it comes to TV. It might have been cutting edge in 1961, but we've come a long way since then, and it just hasn't.

how long now, I think about the need to tune into MTP. (I stopped recording it maybe a year ago.) And then I think better of it because I know it will just piss me off. Why would I want to ruin a perfectly good Sunday? In fact, I don't watch any morning political programs on MSNBC, or any other network. Andrea-ah-ah-ah Mitchell never fails to shil republican. And all the other programs have Luke-the-lucky-sperm-child filling in when they want their days off. Ugh. Can not deal with it.

4. I think they should give Jay Carney consideration for MTP host

He was pretty much well regarded by his fellow press members before he came Press Secretary, and my impression of him is that he would be a much better choice than Chuck Todd or Joe Scarborough.

were having a discussion about how hard it can be to have a discussion about cannabis? That's offensive and trippy. Like said elsewhere, thanks for the thread.

MTP has been so bad, for so long, that they do not deserve your viewership. I wouldn't reward them by participating in their blatant propaganda.
