(39,343 posts)Nah, just goofing on you. I'm already sold on it and have been singing its praises for years. I'm disabled and have been given opiate painkillers and muscle relaxers that I refuse to take. I prefer to see my drugist over seeing my pharmacist any day.
We are on the cusp of getting medical cannabis approved here, but from what I hear about the regulations and approved supply chain, I'll prob just keep my guy and keep it on the DL for a few more years at least. It will be cool to have a card that keeps me out of trouble, but I already stay pretty clean.

I know I will make it some day but I am leaning towards using grain alcohol for extraction rather than the other solvents.

(26,219 posts)You can infuse in Vegetable Glycerin (tincture) or a mixture of Polypropylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin (vaping).
You won't blow your kitchen up on those.
eShirl
(18,490 posts)would that work, or is there some reason not?
(I do that with dried elderberries, much cheaper than buying Sambucol)
Ruby the Liberal
(26,219 posts)You risk an explosion.
Vegetable Glycerin is a thickening agent mostly used for icing/cake decorating and Polypropylene Glycol is the dry-ice stuff they use in fog machines in haunted houses and concerts. The former makes big clouds when combined with the latter (helps with the psychological addiction to cigarettes).
Neither are flammable and the Glycerin is sweet so works as a tincture base.
