Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) suggested on Tuesday that the president of the United States was extremely prejudiced because he was deporting Mexicans, while allowing child refugees who were fleeing violence in Central America to stay.
In an interview with Newsmax TV host J.D. Hayworth, Gohmert said that President Barack Obamas plan to allow Honduran children a way into the U.S. without having to make the dangerous journey through Mexico was proof that he was trying to change the country.
I mean, holy smokes, this guy truly is fundamentally transforming America, the Texas Republican opined. But not into anything the Founders ever dreamed. These are people who are being given amnesty, who will eventually be able to vote if theyre not already, who have no idea what it takes to maintain a Republic if you can keep it, madam (sic).
And if you want to say, look at where these folks came from, weve got to give them amnesty, weve got to help them, Gohmert continued. Listen, there are are so many children around the world that are worse off than those in Central America, and how unfair is it to the Mexicans?
I dont know why this president is so extremely prejudiced against Mexicans. They say, if youre from Mexico, well turn you right around and send your right back. But if youre from Central America, No, come on, well send you all over the United States.

(10,269 posts)Of a series of fundamental changes. And that IS a problem for poor, dumb Louie...
I always find it entertaining when they take what we say, attempt to reassign it to their own agenda, and then fail miserably at it because they only know the words, and not what the words actually mean. Let me offer you an example..
George W. Bush was a President who lied to the American people and acted outside the boundaries of the Law. These things, by definition make him a bad President, possibly worthy of impeachment.
Well that sounds like a pretty good argument, and seems to be the opinion of much of the American People. We will have to remember that, it seems like a pretty important thing to remember...
This gets translated to: OH MY GOD the president is a lawless racist tyrant who must be impeached post-haste, lest the godless heathens destroy our beloved country forever.
It's like they are TRYING to sound like liberals, but they just keep failing at it...
I'm a trekkie (sort of) and it reminds me of when kirk and spock figured out that the probe was trying to communicate with the whales, and kirk had the idea " well can we just play it some recorded whale song and see what happens?" Spocks response was
"We could imitate the sounds, but not the LANGUAGE. We would be speaking in gibberish."
Thats what this is, this thing that the GOP has been doing since Nixon resigned in disgrace. Trying to sound like smart, well-reasoned Americans (liberals). But all they know are the SOUNDS. They have no idea what those sounds actually MEAN, or why we make them.
