IRS Commissioner Lois Lerner called conservatives "Assholes" in an e-mail

They seem to work overtime earning our wrath.

So many DU posts said that Obama should not press only Democratic ideals because he works for all Americans, not only Democrats.

I don't especially agree that a Democrat winning a Presidential election shouldn't be pushing hard for Democratic ideals. I think that was why the people of the country elected him. (The first time, anyway.) And Bush certainly never pushed for both sides equally or anything resembling equally.

However, no one from any side elected Lerner. She has no mandate. Republican taxes pay her salary as much as mine do; and she does have a legal and moral obligation to serve and respect everyone equally.

2. I was tempted to say that this is what comes from allowing people to throw

around the word "socialism" with utter disregard for its dictionary meaning.

Not even a second passed, though, before I realized that drumming the actual definition of "socialism" into them probably would not change anything.

These people are hopeless and those who manipulate them are corrupt.

A pox on all their houses. With no Obamacare treatment, too. (J/k. I could never be so mean as to deny anyone medical care, even the POS Koch brothers.)

On the other hand, Lerner's behavior did not help anything.

7. Taken In Context

When taken in context those emails do not, in my opinion, seem that bad. Lois Lerner was responding to a friend who made comments about right wing talk show hosts and their listeners. Lerner's friend had sent her an email that mentioned the horribleness of right wing talk show hosts. To that Lerner responded by saying something like so we will not have to put up with these people much longer if there are so many "assholes". Lerner's friend sent another email that said the listeners were worse than the hosts. An email from Lerner read, so we do not have to worry about terrorists we will be taken out by our own crazies.
