Nancy Pelosi recently contrasted her approach to impeachment during the Bush era with John Boehner‘s now. And today Pelosi took to the floor to issue him a challenge: do as I did with Democrats back then, and tell your party that impeachment is off the table for good.

Yesterday John Boehner dismissed impeachment as a “scam” being ginned up by Democrats to raise money. And while the DCCC fundraised a lot sounding the alarms on impeachment, there have been Republicans floating the idea. And Pelosi said Boehner needs to be the one to quash it.

She said, “If you don’t want people to use the word impeachment, as your people have done, then tell them impeachment is off the table.”

2. see, this is what makes Democrats appear weak

we have won the Presidency. Asking them to take impeachment off the table is like begging them to let us keep it.

Let the repugs try to impeach and take this to the people.

Why ask them to take it off the table when the issue will destroy them? When is Pelosi going to stand up to repugs and not keep telling Democrats to be patient.

We had legal reason to impeach Bush, they have NO legal reason to impeach Obama. Why doesn't Nancy see that. Why didn't they impeach Bush? This is where "Impeachment is off the table" got us. Shut up already Nancy.

Do not count me as an admirer or defender of Nancy Pelosi. As for Dems using impeachment talk as a fund-raising vehicle-remember Joe "You Lie" Wilson raised 2 million the day after the SOTU address. Enough said.
