When someone ask, "What would you do if someone was firing thousands of rockets at you?" ....

... you can answer with this:

I don't really get what Russell Brand is trying to say. Because at first look it appears that he is saying that the rockets are way of the Palestinians engaging in catharsis almost. At least that's how it appears on its face to me.

He's comparing the Israeli missiles which kill massive amounts of innocent people with Hamas' rockets which don't. He's extrapolating from that scenario and providing a response to the standard reactionary talking points like "What would you do if rockets were being fired at you?" Well given that Israel is killing civilians with impunity with a much better and sophisticated military infrastructure, then it would be a relief to the people of Gaza.

I happen to agree.

clearly the disproportionate retaliation strategy isn't working, has never worked, and never will work.
