"Well, Hubby's no John Wayne, I'll give you that." . . . Please come CAPTION Michelle Bachmann!!!

Michelle (the-frozen-molasses-of-intellect) Bachmann is saying: "Listen, I've thought this through . . . all the way. . . . Since it takes the Senate to impeach the President, but the Senate won't vote on impeachment, then we, The House, can vote to impeach the Senate. . . . Simple as that. . . . After it's gone, we'll be the only ones left, so we'll by default have the constitutional power to get rid of Obama at last. . . . Don't you wonder why no one else thought of this? . . . Makes you suspicious, doesn't it?"

***********************************************************

Above CAPTION loosely based on the following story in Mother Jones:

Impeachment occurs in the house.

It is voted on in the Senate. You need 67 votes to convict. So if Rethugs get the senate, they still can't remove him

Maybe you should think and contemplate a bit more before you post a smart-ass reply.

I was responding to LNP who thought Republicans taking control of the senate could make a difference concerning impeachment (actually conviction).

But I think the post you were responding to, and I have known the poster (having read his or her posts) for a long time, was speaking in the spirit of things, not the literal conditions/rules. I.e., if they win back the Senate they'll try surely to bring impeachment to a vote because they are able too and because that is their current nature.

a CAPTIONing thread should be filled with laughter and light, humor and intelligence.

I thought so long before I had a heart attack in the spring. Now even more so . . .

Impeaching a black president that was repeatedly attacked by your party with racist accusations?
What could go wrong?

Impeaching a president on reasons that defy political precedent and common sense?
What could go wrong?
