The one she obtained from her hubby's war contracts in Iraq, it is just so 2007.
Time for an update!

...Senator Nye, many war critics, and members of the American public concluded that the US entered the war for reasons of profit, not policy...

(4,889 posts)W's invasion is simply robbery and it was just what I thought it was. I remember the stories about pallets of cash. They borrowed the money from our Social Security Trust Fund and that's why they want to destroy it so they can complete the theft. Republicans are quite simply white collar criminals. Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel and Billy Sol Estes would have admired these bastards.

(70,089 posts)was nothing but bribery. those pallets were dropped in the desert, along with cia phones for the old enemies to call in jdams on each other.
in return, they let us run right through the country, then they graciously accepted a cut of the loot.
as it ever was.

(11,495 posts)And that's why we need to get rid of them, no matter how long it takes, we need to vote out the ones who work for the corporations, who are bought and paid for by those corporations, and we need to replace them with people who will put and end to this crap. No matter who we put in the WH, congress is still in control of keeping the gravy train going.
I know their are politicians on both sides who are guilty, but the majority I believe are republicans, and we need to get them out of office as soon as possible while finding people to run during the democratic primaries who can replace those on our side who need to be removed also.
It won't happen over night, but it can happen!

But voter apathy among Democrats is pretty high. Unless every single Democrat votes like his/her life depends upon it, Abbott will take the election.
It's not that we don't have enough people on our side, it's that those people feel that it won't matter. Living in the gerrymandered districts it's easy to believe you're the only liberal alive.
Despite my fears I'll haul my wheelchair down to the polls and vote like I always do.

(4,192 posts)Makes it obvious that there is no God of justice watching over this world. Same shit has been happening for a long, long time here and a lot of good, decent people have been killed off by greedy, selfish assholes with impunity the whole time. This world would be paradise without them. But they've got the majority convinced that life is about suffering and the great reward is after we die. Meanwhile there seems to be an endless supply of assholes willing to take away from the masses of people so they can enjoy their own little paradise at the expense of all the others. Makes me hope for a much larger purpose that does lead to real justice but I've yet to see any proof that this Earth is going to be anything but a place of wretched poverty for the vast majority of people.
