Which is the greater threat to you and your family today?

There are people from both parties pushing the American people to approve increased military intervention in events overseas - the "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" crowd. Sometimes the claim is made that as "the most powerful nation on earth" ® we have an obligation to interfere to protect the innocent.

There are people in the Democratic Party who think the greatest threat comes form the 1%, multinational corporations, big banks, student loans, etc.

I think it's obvious where I stand on this, what about you?

Whether it's undermining the vote, funneling money to the .01% while shrinking the middle class, working to prop up dictators abroad and pushing for war to keep them in power, using self-centered, short term vision in undermining democracies abroad, waging mass propaganda, brainwashing against the American People against our own best interests, waging the so called "War on Drugs," the promotion of prisons which profit from incarcerating the people, undermining governments' ability to govern via secret free trade deals, the general corruption of government at all levels, institutionalizing the for profit "health" insurance industry, the mindless degradation of our natural environment for the sake of the almighty dollar, demonizing and elimination of the public interest in deference to authoritarian corporate interests, cannibalizing the nation's public defense for mercenary forces, and in general working to turn "we the people" against the people.

Thanks for the thread, hedgehog.
