Republicans would have us believe

that the American economy was humming along nicely until Barack Obama comes along and essentially plunges a dagger (stimulus) into its heart and created all the economic problems we've had in this country since 2008 and, in some cases, for more or less the past 30 years. When they (and their allies) go on cable news and hate radio shows railing about what an economic catastrophe President Obama has been for the country, WHAT-THE-HELL are they actually talking about? What single thing (or things) has President Obama specifically done that has made things worse in this country and/or prevented it from recovering from the Great (Republican) Recession that began in 2008? It's maddening that Republicans can just go around saying this stuff but never have to actually explain anything and it's infuriating that they act like the Bush (P)residency- that most of them enabled non-stop in every way, shape, or form for 8 years- never existed and that the ballooning of the deficit all happened on President Obama's watch and/or resulted from his policies.

they HAVE to be. There is no other explanation. When I heard today that Mitt Romney was accusing PRESIDENT OBAMA and the Democrats of being the ones conducting a war on women, I flipped out. We are truly through the looking glass if that's what they honestly believe. The sad thing is that their cult followers (and a few gullible "low information" voters ) will probably believe it and add it to their repertoire of attack lines. The level of projection they are currently engaged in is truly stunning IMHO! Romney seems to be making a strategy out of it now.

If I was a Fox News viewer or hate radio listener and I accepted everything they said without question, then it would be impossible to believe that President Obama and the Democratic Party is nothing short of evil incarnate and I guess, with that sustained level of propaganda assault, it would be impossible for anybody else to think otherwise. That stuff is simply toxic.

the allegory I think of most often is "The Night of the Living Dead"; they just WILL NOT STOP.

"Just how has Obama created these problems?"

And, if they want to get really feisty...

"What would you have done to make things better?"

I would literally die from shock if either of the above ever actually happens during the course of this campaign. Unfortunately, I fear that the upcoming campaign that the right-wing intends to wage will make SBVT look like a picnic and the corporate media will spend most of the time uncritically helping transmit their smear-a-thon to millions of Americans.
