I don't know either...as for the rest, this is what happens normally to star athletes.

(55,445 posts)1. I don't know how Pistorius escapes guilt for the lesser charge...
But that story is kind of all over the place...The writers seem to place more emphasis on Pistorius' post-trial career prospects and the Simpson comparisons than whether justice will be served...

(53,661 posts)7. Well, his career is far more important than her life, obviously. What was her name, anyway?
Like Crowley crying for the Stuebenville rapists. And like this story:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/125551308
No charges filed. Papers shredded to whitewash the rapist. Repeat sexual offender returned to school within a month. Principal promoted.
No one fired. School says it is satisfied with the way the whole thing was handled. Life goes on for the perpetrator and those who covered the whole thing up as usual.
Your take on the article in the OP is correct. They still made a little green off the case, and then threw in the rest for fun. While missing the big point that she (allegedly) had the right to justice, and to live. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

She seems wise.
Reckon we will see.
He murdered her. Period.
