Is there anything strange about this picture?

Kerry looks vertical as he ascends the steps to his plane, it is the angle of the plane behind him that has me confused. Planes usually don't sit on a slope sideways.

..they're at the same angle as the vertical stabilizer of the background aircraft. Looks like the photog made the choice to frame Kerry upright rather than sweat the horizon.
