Ebola: At this point I would trust the nurses union before the 'authorities"

Of everything I've read about this Ebola epidemic in the American media what the nurses union said sounded the most clear, forthright and no nonsense to me.

The authorities on the other hand have been vacillating and prone to ridiculously bad judgement, the CDC has been bad enough, getting driven by politics rather than medicine but the hospital management is off the charts bad judgement and it was driven by one word, greed.

1. I will split the difference

No reason for me to believe one over the other.

3. Everyone has an agenda

I trust the agenda of the nurses before I trust corporate or political suits.

2. Nurses Most Respected Profession for 11th Year

http://online.nursing.georgetown.edu/nurses-most-respected-profession-for-11th-year/

A yearly poll that tracks public opinions of various professions finds nurses to be the most ethical and honest profession for the 11th year, with 81 percent of respondents in a Gallup survey ranking them as “very high” or “high.”
Nurses have been the highest ranked profession for 11 out of 12 years. “The consistently most positively rated professions, including nurses and pharmacists, have generally been able to avoid widespread scandals and, as such, Americans continue to hold them in the highest regard,” according to a Gallup press release. More information on the survey is available online.

4. Thanks for that

The "blame the nurses" brigade is pretty much the same as the "blame the teachers" one, most people think fairly highly of their kids teachers although the media has spent a long time trying to kill the overall image of teachers.
