(23,272 posts)No need to gush. But instead of answering a ? With a flat yes, answer with a bright "yes of course!"
Tone and vocabulary become so much more important.
Good luck!

(7,107 posts)1) No background noise! Nothing worse than dealing with a person
2) Don't ramble nonstop when answering. Allow small pauses for the person on the other side to interject and ask clarification.
3) Have her questions for the company ahead of time (otherwise it seems the person is unprepared)
4) Remember I can't see hand gestures nor facial expressions so show enthusiasm in her voice
5) Have a water bottle near by. Nerves can dry out a mouth.

(33,992 posts)Also facts about the company - have them written down so you don't forget them and look for an opportunity to weave them into the conversation naturally.
When I interview folks I always ask questions that give them the opportunity to sneak in information that tells me they have researched the company. Generally speaking, those who haven't aren't looking to work at my company, they just want a job. Those who have are more likely to want to work at my company - and are more likely to use the same kind of initiative on the job.

(5,417 posts)I was in a parking lot, and a diesel truck pulled up next to me and idled his engine.
I moved to a new spot, then it started raining. I guess I cant catch a break.
It was during lunch at work, so I had limited options.
