Heads Up: James O’Keefe Skulking Around In Colorado

We just got a tip that infamous conservative "gotcha game" artist James O'Keefe is on the ground in Colorado, prowling around Democratic-aligned campaign organizations. O'Keefe reportedly showed up at the Fort Collins office of GOTV group New Era Colorado yesterday, and according to the report we got, "tried to force his way in," necessitating a police call. We can't confirm any of those details, but O'Keefe himself was positively ID'ed. We'll update with any additional information we get about that incident.

For those who haven't had the pleasure, James O'Keefe is one of the right wing's most prolific and controversial provacateurs, but he also played a major role in the partisan destruction of the community group ACORN after posing as a pimp and seeking assistance with a hidden camera. Less known is the fact that he was later forced to pay over $100,000 to one of the ACORN workers he selectively edited. O'Keefe later faced charges for attempting to tamper with the phone lines of a U.S. Senator. Most recently, O'Keefe filmed himself crossing the Mexican border wearing an Osama bin Laden Halloween costume, a stunt that resulted in considerably more ridicule than the intended instilling of xenophobic fear.

Anyway, Democratic and otherwise lefty campaign hands across the state, if you see this guy at your office, be advised that he is not there to make you look good.

Dig some dirt up on his personal life which I bet there is plenty. He is a spoiled rich brat who never challenges power.

I don't see him as "the right wing's most prolific...provacateur.." He needs to go home to his momma's basement.

We all know ACORN died without guilt - but he's the worthless little asshole who shoved the shiv in the neck of that organization.

He represents the most evil, vile, cruel face of America.

6. The only reason thugs like O'Keefe get away with thuggery is . . .

. . . no one confronts them.

What needs to happen is simple: The next time O'Keefe is caught skulking around a Democratic organization, a couple of really big guys need to haul him behind the building and thrash the living shit out of him. On camera. Then dare him to file charges.

8. He gets away with it because of whoever funds him.

You can bet that he's not paying for his stunts --and his layers and fines -- out of his own pocket. If you want to take him down, make him a bad investment for his backers.

...by getting a couple of Democrats to incriminate themselves. This will achieve what, exactly?

10. Maybe we can't afford a sheep but can't we mount a fund raiser to buy him a lamb and let it grow up?

A sheep would keep him out of circulation for at least 5 years.

This weaselly suck-up, looking for right-wing welfare for helping to discredit progressivism?

No. That's the opposite of a provocateur.
