Ottawa shootings: No Islamic State link found

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29752077

There is no evidence so far that a gunman who attacked Canada's parliament had links to Middle Eastern Islamist extremists, the government has said.

Foreign Minister John Baird told the BBC gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was "certainly radicalised", but was not on a list of high-risk individuals.

like he was inspired by Jihadism to commit his acts.

And saying that is neither fear mongering or racist.

But expect the usual deniers to say that it is anyway.

Religious fundamentalism of any kind is the purest and most toxic poison humanity has ever invented.

"The Ottawa gunman had "connections" to jihadists in Canada who shared a radical Islamist ideology, including at least one who went overseas to fight in Syria, multiple U.S. sources told CNN on Thursday.

However, Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird told CNN's Christiane Amanpour that there is "no evidence at this stage" that Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was linked to a wider group, or network, of jihadists."

How many "Christians" have radical, extremist beliefs, not just the ones on Fox?

WTF, Canada, you are ruining the Great American Cave To Fear and Terror Pity Party.

On a news report this morning it was stated that the gunman had been living at a homeless shelter. So where did he manage to get the gun and ammo?

Frankly, I'd be surprised if IS leadership has the time or resources (or the stupidity) to try to actively orchestrate terrorist attacks overseas, given they're waging a multi-front war of conquest against pretty much everyone else in the Middle East. Getting crazies over here riled up through their propaganda, on the other-hand...
