how can anyone argue with you?

These sort of posts, insisting that one faction of the party is purely responsible for the disappointing 2014 elections, are just silly, especially when you don't even bother to pretend to present why you think it is.

Or it could be the record-low turnout in areas -- meaning the voters who care more (usually because they're pissed) were the ones out voting.

Good to see the in-fighting with the inevitable rise of a strong liberal third party -- you know, like in 2000. That worked out well for liberals.

they joined to create a new political party. It's just like a 3rd party. Except much worse.

Now have four political parties influencing elections:

In order of their hatred towards liberals:

Tea Party - Anti-liberal
3rd Way - Anti-liberal
Republican - Anti-liberal
Democrat - Anti-liberal

And here you are, blaming liberals for losing the election.

Stop rewriting history - with four very real political parties fighting against liberals - you actually think liberals lost the election?

As for 2000 - blame the 300,000 registered democrats who voted for Bush. Oh, and you don't think Clinton's sexual bullshit and the lies about it had anything to do with that? It was bad judgement. Deal with the consequences.

So, you think it's Nader's fault? Or Greenwald's? Or Snowden's?

It's the very real fault of the corporate funded 3rd way and DNC pushing spying, fracking, immunity for Wall Street.

People are smarter than you think. Democrats rode into office promising a wave of change and a well organized liberal framework put Obama into office.

Torture, spying, jobs to Asia, Wall Street crime and a corporate designed health policy fucked all of that up. All that shit was 3rd way designed.

Now it's time to man up and deal with the consequences.

Meanwhile, if you are going to continue blame the non-rich, minorities and those who continue to be fucked over no matter who is in office, you are just making things worse.

The 3rd way purists are left with their principals, so there's that.

"And here you are, blaming liberals for losing the election."

Great job putting words in my mouth. What I said was in some places, like New York, there was record-low turnout. Which probably didn't do much for the seats Democrats lost in New York, as those who DID go out were pissed off about things like the SAFE Act.

"Stop rewriting history - with four very real political parties fighting against liberals - you actually think liberals lost the election? "
And you only name two political parties. One of which is liberal (I don't see any anti-abortion, pro-gun, anti-union, anti-minority planks in the platform, do you?).

"blame the 300,000 registered democrats who voted for Bush"

And you know this how? Did you go in the polling booth with those people? Secret ballot and all that. The figure, which was "actually" 200,000, according to the sources I've seen, never has any indication of WHERE that figure actually came from (exit poll? Telephone poll? Throwing darts at a board?).

And yeah, had Nader not shown strongly in Florida, Gore would have gotten those 950 votes or so to push him over. You know, of the 97,000 votes Nader got. Pretty sure most of those wouldn't have gone to Bush.

So yeah, go break up the party. And when the Republicans have the White House for 12 years, don't come crying to me.
