Russia stunned after Japanese plan to evacuate 40 Million revealed

http://www.readersupportednews.org/news-section2/344-208/11006-russia-stunned-after-japanese-plan-to-evacuate-40-million-revealed
new report circulating in the Kremlin today prepared by the Foreign Ministry on the planned re-opening of talks with Japan over the disputed Kuril Islands during the next fortnight states that Russian diplomats were “stunned” after being told by their Japanese counterparts that upwards of 40 million of their peoples were in “extreme danger” of life threatening radiation poisoning and could very well likely be faced with forced evacuations away from their countries eastern most located cities… including the world’s largest one, Tokyo.

The Kuril Islands are located in Russia's Sakhalin Oblast region and stretch approximately 1,300 km (810 miles) northeast from Hokkaido-, Japan, to Kamchatka, Russia, separating the Sea of Okhotsk from the North Pacific Ocean. There are 56 islands and many more minor rocks. It consists of Greater Kuril Ridge and Lesser Kuril Ridge, all of which were captured by Soviet Forces in the closing days of World War II from the Japanese.

The “extreme danger” facing tens of millions of the Japanese peoples is the result of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster that was a series of equipment failures, nuclear meltdowns, and releases of radioactive materials at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, following the To-hoku earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011.

According to this report, Japanese diplomats have signaled to their Russian counterparts that the returning of the Kuril Islands to Japan is “critical” as they have no other place to resettle so many people that would, in essence, become the largest migration of human beings since the 1930’s when Soviet leader Stalin forced tens of millions to resettle Russia’s far eastern regions.

There is another thread in GD about reactor 4 and just how lethal
potential complications are.

This story just confirms it.

Finally, the truth is coming out.

BHN and good luck every one.

Yeah, it's a mess. It's going to be a damn mess for a long time. It will even negatively impact the health and longevity of some people.

However.

If there was a plan to evac, it was probably considered and discarded early on in the crisis.

The linked to DU thread In post #2 is full of hyperbole by people on all sides of the issue. There is far too much chair throwing here on this issue.

What do we know?

That there are some stories posted here from secondary sources reporting some things with very serious consequences. I would love to think that the sources have their shit together, but at least one, prisoner planet, has a jaded history.

Is it likely that such a situation as is reported here could escape the major media? They would jump all over this.

Nuclear issues are sensitive to people. It's scary shit and the situation in Japan is unprecedented. Would major media ignore it?

To me, this sounds like a lot of bloviating from suspect sources. DU is smarter than that.

Am I worried about Fukashima? You bet! My degree is in physics and I know about this stuff. We have a reason to be concerned. But it isn't like Cobalt Thorium G, it isn't the end of the world, even if the dubiously sourced reports are correct, which I doubt.

Let's see how this pans out before we jump to confusions, so to speak.

That it's been out for 2 days without corroboration is plenty of cause for skepticism.

The relocation part or the dangers of Spent Fuel Pool #4? This is the first I have heard of the planned evacuation but i have been following the story of FP#4 being on the edge of collapse for many months now.

But one always has to consider the bigger picture which is one of the human problems.

Thank you for your support here. We want the chairs to remain on the floors. They are for sitting, not for throwing.

I would imagine many people would head south...

to places like Kyushu and Shikoku. Perhaps even southern Honshu around Hiroshima. I have family, (I have heard) in Miyazaki which is on Kyushu. From what my mother has told me, its a very open area for living. My Father's brother lives in Osaka.. which has yet to be affected. Its also a safe area, so far.

linked within the story, are notoriously unreliable. Without corroboration from reliable sources, nobody should accept this at face value. That something appears on the Internet is not evidence of accuracy.

Look for corroboration in respected sources. If that is not found, then this story is likely to be false.

I'll spy this out and see what's up. Hopefully nothing. Although it would be prudent for any country to make contingency plans, so saying they made one is not CT.
