Eliot Spitzer: Our Rallying Cry Should Be, "We Own Wall Street and We Can Stop Corporate America's W

I understand his point, but those monies are widely distributed, and you'd have to control/coordinate alot of different people, many of them politicians, to act in concert to achieve what you're after. In the end, what you have to realize is that a small percentage of people control roughly half the wealth. In order to counter that kind of wealth, you need to coordinate the activities of the other "half" of the money. That's no small order.

I do agree though that unions and democratically controlled cities and states could do more here.
