Proof of prosecutor McCullough's conflict of interest in the Michael Brown case.

He is the President of the Board of Directors of Backstoppers, Inc, an organization that raises money for causes related to the police. Specifically, Backstoppers benefited financially from T-shirts sold to raise money for the defense of Darren Wilson.

Update: Backstoppers claims that they are not benefiting from the money and have nothing to do with the fundraiser being done in their name. So why is the site still online, falsely claiming that the funds raised will go to Backstoppers? Why isn't McCullough prosecuting whoever is selling the shirts for fraud? It's not legal to raise money for a charity and not give it to the charity.

Another woman who was indicted in August for the crime of theft from Backstoppers faces a sentence of 45 years.

(By the way, the prosecutor's personal background is that his father was a police officer who was killed by a black man.)

A Belleville woman faces up to 45 years in prison on charges she stole money from the charities BackStoppers Inc. and the U.S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund.

A federal grand jury inducted Pamela Denise Robtoy, 53, on Wednesday of mail fraud, wire fraud and making a false statement to federal agents conducting a criminal investigation, according to U.S. Attorney Stephen Wigginton.

"All theft from charities is intolerable," Wigginton said in a news release. "Theft by any person from charities striving to honor a first responder who lost his life protecting the public is simply disgusting and abhorrent."

The indictment did not list the total amount stolen. Robtoy is believed to have used the money for personal expenses, such as shopping at The Limited and Ann Taylor, according to court documents.

1. Backstoppers' claim is that they never received any money from that sale and didn't know about it

2. And yet they are STILL allowing those t-shirts to be sold in their name.

Why didn't they insist that that site be taken down or changed to remove the Backstoppers name?

Seems like a prosecuting attorney should have no problem stopping an illegal activity like that.

I don't know.

What's the crime there? They aren't claiming backstopper's endorsement.

that some of the funds raised will be given to the Backstoppers org.

You can't raise money for a non-profit and then not give the money to the non-profit. . . . without breaking the law, anyway.

Department Of Justice Orders Ferguson Police To Stop Wearing ‘I Am Darren Wilson’ Bracelets
BY CARIMAH TOWNES POSTED ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2014

A Department of Justice letter sent to the Police Chief Tom Jackson of Ferguson, Missouri on Friday instructed all officers to stop wearing “I Am Darren Wilson” bracelets. Another letter issued on Tuesday ordered members of the police department to wear readable name plates, after officers were seen wearing unidentifiable tags or none at all.

Protests have not stopped in Ferguson since officer Darren Wilson shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was unarmed, in August. And in response to civil unrest, which gained steam again after Brown’s memorial was burned to the ground on Tuesday, and the use of the slogan “I Am Mike Brown,” officers were photographed wearing the bracelets supporting the officer who killed him.

The DOJ letter sent to Jackson explained that the bracelets contributed to an “us versus them” mentality and “upset and agitated” others.

In a separate letter, the DOJ also said that officers must stop violating name tag protocol by obscuring or altogether not wearing their name tags. The practice, DOJ said, “conveys a message to community members that, through anonymity, officers may seek to act with impunity.”

News / Cops UPDATED: Chief Reese Says Cops Who Declared "I Am Darren Wilson" on Facebook Face Internal Investigation, Calls Actions "Inflammatory"

Posted by Denis C. Theriault on Mon, Nov 24, 2014 at 10:03 AM

UPDATE 11:31 AM: Chief Mike Reese has issued a statement confirming he ordered the three officers named below to take down their "I am Darren Wilson" Facebook profile pictures. He's also asked Professional Standards to review the matter—using their badges, he says, trumped the officers' right to free speech in their time off the job.

It didn't matter that Ferguson, Mo., was 2,000 miles away. When Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson shot unarmed black teenager Mike Brown in August, hundreds of Portlanders protested.

They marched to the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct. They drew chalk outlines to represent African Americans killed by police.

"Aaron Campbell, James Jahar Perez, Keaton Otis," one protester said. "Everybody here was somebody. They were someone. And now they're gone."

"UPDATE 11:38 AM: Mayor Charlie Hales' office also has sent out a statement cheering the chief's decision, saying "the actions taken by these three officers here in Portland" run afoul of conversations on lowering the temperature in the community ahead of the grand jury announcement and ongoing attempts at police reform."

now that Wilson's actions have effectively been declared within the law. Maybe that money will become a perpetual defense fund for thug cops.
