(7,908 posts)"never had is so good" Dunno how hard it is to fix one of these meme thingamajigs once they're already up, but thought I should point it out in case it's an easy fix.

(12,806 posts)I agree. I hate to see typos in otherwise spot-on memes.
Unless you're preaching to the choir (and this meme is certainly doing that when it's posted at DU, but wouldn't it be awesome if it could help change the mind of an independent voter or even a rank-and-file Republican) then grammar and spelling must, that is MUST, be correct, otherwise the reader will be distracted by the typo, and the truth of the meme, if not completely lost, will be minimized. For the same reason you don't want errors on your resume, you don't want errors on your memes.
Dear meme-writers: Don't let a texting, tweeting culture fool you -- spelling really is important!

(11,175 posts)It's depressing that "official" Democrats (with the "D" after their name instead of an "I" largely shy away from this kind of statement. Articulation of the traditional principles of the Democratic Party is left to someone who's technically not a Democrat.

(65 posts)The general consensus by those not engaged in sleep walking to a voting booth is that both parties essentially have their own 'on board, self contained' billionaires keeping them alive.
The billionaires are of an exclusive club of which your membership is not desired or accepted
So ask this question
If both parties are essentially owned by members of the same exclusive club and none of these members of the club wants to be seen as an outsider, would those members of the party who are visible and out front and doing their bidding want to or even be allowed to voice anything that goes counter to the 'velvet glove enclosed fist' that hangs over them like the Sword of Damocles
I think not

(1,596 posts)but they worked so hard for it.
Being rich isn't a sin, right? They got it all through honest public service, and work hard every day for the poor and middle class. Wrong.

(14,337 posts)has not kept pace with the COL over at least 40 years. Anyone who is 50+ knows this. Yet, we have the Republican Party telling WORKING people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and join them (?) if they want to succeed. Today even an advanced education is no guarantee that you will have a job, and a living wage in 2014. So what do they offer? End the Mi mum Wage so these lazy loafs will get a job (like those who already HAVE jobs?) and not rely on gobmit to support them.
It is the elimination of the Middle Class that is the hidden agenda. Rich and poor. Barons and serfs. Nothing in between so the wealthy can control everything and everyone. I can remember my pediatrician talking about this with my Mom when I was 10 years old in 1958. Yes, that made a big impression on me as a Preteen. A doctor, not poor himself, understood this back then. Too many people today STILL do not get this, including those who will be most affected by their grand plan.
