Question. Garner

Did the first policeman who confronted Garner see him selling cigs? Is that how it started?

Or did he confront him because store owners complained that he was hanging around to sell cigs and they were losing business. I heard that said on TV.

I know Garner had a history of being arrested before for selling, but I don't know if he was actually seen making a sale minutes before that tape starts.

I also heard that minutes before Garner had helped break up a fight and that is why so many police were around.

everyone who sold single cigarettes in New York, there wouldn't be enough jails to hold them. There are a lot of people who don't have the cash to buy a whole pack of cigarettes.

And selling single cigarettes should be a capital crime - if it should be a crime at all.
