Is because all the Liberals are busy looking for Liberal leaders to vote for?
There isn't some factory that mass produces Liberals. If YOU are a Liberal, PLEASE, feel free to throw your hat into the ring. Complaining on DU 24/7 about the lack of Liberal leadership won't magically make Liberal leaders appear.
Are you a Liberal? Well I've got good news for you: YOU can become a Liberal leader. No need to keep looking for one. Be a leader. DO IT!
You will have the support of the posters on this website who will then retweet your posts or facebook your posts which will echo through social media and launch you into leadership position. And with voting turnout at 35% (sadly) you will only need about 20% of your state to vote for you anyway. Easy.

(15,438 posts)I mean, what idiots, who actually believe in liberal policies, would cheer that a Democrat who voted ninety-five percent of the time with President Obama and Democrats, is pro-women's rights, pro-ACA, and pro-gun safety laws, has just been defeated by a Koch-funded Republican, giving the do-nothing, know-nothing Republicans no less than fifty-four seats in our Senate?
Every year, I wait for the left of center-left Liberals to produce a Liberal who is electable. Every year I wait for them to put their money where their mouths are. And every year I'm astounded that they fail to produce and are back to bashing the Democrats who have won.
Although Mother Jones wrote a piece about why they're against the Ipsos-MORI study that showed that the American people are the second most ignorant people (after Italy) in the developed world, the fact that anyone outside of BaggerLand can cheer that another Democrat lost their seat in the country's most powerful branch of government, kills that Mother Jones piece and only underscores the Ipsos-MORI study.

(62,325 posts)candidates AGAINST GOOD LIBERALS for a change. Maybe we'd stop losing if our own party would actually stop opposing their own Liberal Candidates??
NJ, a Blue State, a governor who was in trouble with voters because of his mishandling of Hurricane Sandy. Remember?
We had a good Liberal Candidate who DID step up and ran against him.
Her party betrayed her, not only did they falsely claim that 'Christi is unbeatable', which was an outright lie in a state where a majority of registered voters are Democrats, they ENDORSED THE REPUBLICAN..
Now, can you tell us why you THINK no Liberals are running again??
Can you also tell us how we stop our own party leadership from RUNNING AGAINST THEM?
And can you please explain why the party leadership handed the governorship in a BLUE STATE to a Republican??
