****WCGreen Update --Sunday December 7, 2014****

From his wife:

Another Christopher Green update:

First of all, Buckeyes rule! Wisconsin was squished underneath the shoes of Cardale Jones and the other Bucs!

Chris and I enjoyed Thanksgiving with a dinner of Honey Baked Ham chicken breast, Heinins' dressing, peas, Stouffers' potatoes and scalloped apples for dessert. Yum! Chris' usual eating very little changed to eating more.

I've been decorating for Christmas and will post pics later.

Unfortunately, Chris had a lot of trouble breathing while he was on the respirator last week. There were other problems as well, so he was moved to the ICU. After the docs performed a bronchoscopy and cleaned out some very thick mucus, Chris is back talking and breathing without the respirator for the majority of the day. Hopefully, Chris moves back to his room soon.

These two pics are of Chris ready for the Browns' game. Go Browns!

I'm not exactly sure why, but I suspect he can't really concentrate well enough to post.

Three or four days in a hospital and I become a danger to myself and others. Leaving AMA is the least of it.

I've had the same experience with one of my brothers and my wife.

My brother, a big biker-dude guy, many years ago after his horrible, horrible seven hour lost-important-parts to cancer surgery, ripped out all his tubes and wires and threw the mattress of his hospital bed out the fifth floor window. He also tore open a few dozen of his 100+ stitches and staples. I was the only family contact, pre-cellphone days, who answered the phone. They had him strapped down tight and sedated when I got there.

My wife's story is something similar. She didn't calm down until our babies were in bed with her in the recovery room.

I have pictures, but she'd kill me.

to WCGreen and his family.

Being in them over many years has saved his life, and he knows it.

That said, I have to agree with you!

I hope you can stay away from them, given your temperament!

... that we both worked in the hospital and they knew us.

Even so, the nurses on duty were saints who were willing to bend the rules a bit, even after their patient had thrown a chair at them yelling, "Where are my babies!"

Once our kids were in bed with her, my wife was calm, nursing our youngest, not minding the moaning post surgical people on either side of the curtains.

Now all he has to do is start getting rid of some of that crap attached to him so he can start on the kind of rehab that will let him go home.
