Fox News Host Disgustingly Lashes Out at Children Living in Poverty

In an attempt to apparently prove that there are no lows to which Fox News will not stoop, Outnumbered co-host Stacey Dash decided to attack the children of families living in poverty. Because, you know, children are apparently just greedy little moochers abusing the system and looking for a free handout.

Discussing a recent Census Bureau report that found that 65 percent of American children are living in a home receiving some sort of government assistance, Dash called it “slavery” before further elaborating on her ignorance.

“This is the Democratic party’s new version of slavery to me,” Dash said. “I am a believer in the American dream. But as long as you are told where you have to live, what you have to eat, what you have to wear, where you have to go to school, you will never know the true meaning of expression. And, the power and value of self achievement. You’ll never know what that is.”

Wait, what? Are children not supposed to be told where to live, what to eat, what to wear and where to go to school? Haven’t parents been making choices like that for children since… forever?

and read about the propaganda of the thirty's and early forty's coming out of Germany. Don't these dumb shits realize how stupid they are,but then, they probably attended some Bible College that teaches Might is Right and just follow your leaders blindly. Like I have said before, there is no cure for Stupid.

since I missed it yesterday. I'm well aware of the backlash of conservatives towards the poor since I'm in that group currently. I am treated as a non-person and undeserving of any assistance even though I paid plenty of taxes while I was working. There are some conservatives out there that are compassionate and graceful, but it seems like there are more conservaturds than there are conservatives.

I'll take some more time to address our post and thanks again.

The righties like to point out that it was the Democratic Party of the 1800's that was pro-slavery and conveniently ignore the ideological shift which has taken place. It's their sly attempt to ignore history and imply that modern Dems are still racist and pro-slavery.

and how he was once a member of the KKK. Byrd admitted that later in his career that his intolerance towards other races was wrong, but right-wingers refer to him in order to smear the Democratic party.

food stamps, and anything else that might help these children.

What she is mouthing is not an anti-child diatribe but a new conservative talking point: that welfare, etc. is the equivalent of slavery and that the Democratic party is a big "plantation". It's a dog whistle for sure, but Dash is not saying things against children. However, the title got us all to click on it, so I guess it did its job, as inaccurate as it is.

The most common reason that women seek to end a pregnancy is financial hardship. You'd think that the anti-welfare crowd would be all for abortion, at least for poor women who might need assistance if they have the baby. This is just one reason I have no respect for Republicans at all -- they can't even formulate an internally consistent worldview.
