As this photo proves, yes, there is, in fact, only one thing superior to that — the leader of the free world, (or, you pick: Barry; most powerful person on Earth; President of the United States) wearing a princess tiara, surrounded by adorable cherubim decked in their girl scout uniforms, grinning into the camera to their hearts’ content.

The photo was taken in May 2014 at the annual White House Science Fair, where the girls exhibited their Lego flood-proof bridge project. Obama seems to enjoy his job, but even more, he seems to genuinely like people. We're so used to politicians who smile on cue that it's startling to see a politician whose smile is real.

My favorite of the year. He surprised the WWII Rosie the Riveters. They were happy to see him. One of the ladies says to him "I want a kiss" Kisses him dead on the mouth. That was so cute.

Glad you're here! Happy New Year! I have trouble picking my favorite President Obama photo. I like the ones where he's hugging or otherwise loving up his wife, I like the one of him bodysurfing, the ones of him with cowboy hat (reminds me of the valiant and classy Sheriff Bart amidst the Blazing Saddles bozos), with sunglasses - looks totally badass, with little kids, and this one with the tiara. I made myself a copy of that one - and I named it "Man Enough"! Cuz he IS!

I decided to stop lurking. I tried to stick to this year and it was hard for me. I like the hugging/loving up ones too. That new post has pics I have not seen (the baby pic). I had never realized that PBO is Sheriff Bart cool. That is all kinds of awesome.

54. You can tell that he lives with women and has daughters.

I am sure that it must have been hard on him growing up that his father wasn't around, but it is a tribute to his mother's child-rearing skills that you can tell that this is a man who is comfortable around women. He doesn't need to assert his masculinity all the time (in contrast to the insecure war-mongers in the Republican party). This, I think, is part of the reason that he is not vulnerable to the pressure to use the military every time there is a foreign policy crisis: he is at ease with himself.
