It's bigger than Disneyland's and lasts a lot longer, hours longer...

It's not a big city like Manila, but a crazy number of people are launching full sized fireworks from big mortars, including some that rattle the windows and set off car alarms.

but when I was a kid we used to watch the 4th of July ones from Rampart Range Road. They shot them off in town, though, not off Pike's Peak. I lived in C. Springs from 1955 to 1961 and then for a year outside of Woodland Park.
