That a man is in prison for doing whatever, and far, far less than many R's have done.

And his daughter is so faithfully fighting the Powers that Be in the hopes that someday they will be different?

We all know who the real criminals were from that time period - and it sure as heck wasn't Don Siegelman!

Pleasant soft and well spoken Corporate Spokesperson, who reassures us continually that all is A-okay.

You can't expect a hood ornament to affect the direction of a car. And you can't expect a glorified spokesperson to do anything about the course in direction that this nation is taking. If O had been deemed to have the curiousity and the courage to make the change in direction needed, he would have been eliminated the same way that Kucinich was.

on you. Maybe if you had read comments on any one of the other articles posted with a similar title/subject you would have known that.
In fact if you truly cared about this situation you'd know much more about it, including his new attorney team. You know, the one lead attorney whom Siegelman met when he came down to Alabama to interview Siegelman for a possible pardon.

People like you typically aren't interested in the facts, so I don't even know why I wasted this much time typing.

Richard Nixon, for example, was pardoned by Gerald Ford without either a request or having been convicted of a crime.

Note that current Supreme Court case law implies that a person can actually refuse a presidential pardon.

treated people. Which seems so ironic.

Nevertheless, are you implying that Siegelman does not want a pardon?

I have not read that - but, as you say, I am not interested in the facts.

And, since when is a plea for action considered bashing??

Fri Jan 2, 2015, 10:10 PM

Don won his election for governor, then the republican election scumbags switched 3,000
votes so republican scumbag "won" then they told Don if he complained he would be sorry.

They had Rove's "girl" prosecute him for doing what thousands of politicians have
done.

Everything about this case is as sickening as pretty much everything the Bush
Crime Family touched.

That is why almost 50 former attorneys general asked for this miscarriage of
justice to be addressed.

Obama has done nothing to fix this either.

Can you imagine just going to jail for years for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Welcome to the Republican run world.

I follow state politics.

Siegelman was railroaded, period.
He was the only truly popular Alabama Democrat in the state at the time.
They (repugs) HAD to get rid of him.

And they did with the help of Carl Rove (court stacking) and Leura Carary (repug DOJ prosecutor) whose husband was head of the state repug party at the time.

Look it up folks.
It's all there.
Obama should pardon him.

He is ruined, financially and politically, anyway.
He will never run for public office again.
His life is in shambles.
Enough, already.
