2015: The Confederate States of America are in charge of the US Congress.

Rep Scalise, the David Duke without the baggage, is representative of the Congress we have now.
Did we lose the Civil War?
it sure looks like it in the Congress.
The Confederate South is running this government.

We must be bi-partisan and respect the will of the voters, ya know?

I wish I had confidence he will do so, but I don't. If he "compromises" (read: gives in) or the gods forbid, cooperates, with some of the policies of the GOP right winger-totally insane congress, it's going to put a world of hurt on this country. Which can hardly take it at this point.

Won some battles, killed some yanks.

However, at the end of the war the soldiers from the north and the south were friends, met at reenactments. Confederate generals went to the funerals of the union generals that defeated them in battle.

Sometimes the ugliness of an ideology has to be exposed to the light in order for everyone to understand that it is wrong. It has to play itself out.

but they aren't the CSA either.

Same with Idaho, Alaska, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Arizona, etc.

Some of those places are even redder than the south.
