I don't think it instigated it, if that's what you mean.

Al-Baghdadi is the self-proclaimed caliph of ISIL/ISIS/whatever. It just seems satirical to me; a "best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year" card from Al-Baghdadi.

I thought it was TO Al-Bagdhadi, not from him.

I guess they could take offense at just about anything.
