Paris, France...this says it all and I stand with them!

"It's terrible that these people were murdered. In future, no one will be able to speak his mind. We have to demonstrate in our thousands," said Beatrice Cano, a woman in her fifties carrying the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo in Paris.

'I Am Charlie': Mass rallies for French massacre victims
AFP Updated January 8, 2015, 9:27 am

Paris (AFP) - More than 100,000 people gathered across France to pay tribute to the victims of Wednesday's massacre by Islamist gunmen in Paris, as thousands also rallied in other European cities and the "I Am Charlie" hashtag swept the Internet.

With the gunmen still on the loose in Paris after killing 12 people, defiant crowds swarmed into the Place de la Republique, barely a kilometre (half a mile) from the scene of the bloodbath at the Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly.

At least 35,000 held vigils in Paris, and some 20,000 people turned out in the French cities of Lyon and Toulouse, police said. Thousands more took to the streets in cities including Bordeaux and Marseille.

There were also rallies in European cities such as Berlin, London and Lausanne.

“What if they didn’t look like typical bad guys?” she noted."

Manifestation à Lille après l'attentat de Charlie Hebdo

I've no idea what is being said in French there, but that is an excellent video. It shows many faces of a very large, solemn crowd.

I'm guessing at the conversations from the signs and papers held in the hands of the people who are mostly standing in silence.

The story also has details of the suspects. Many other news websites are linked to the article so don't stop there:

... to blur the distinctions on. The War on Terror, therefore, is a war on the result of a technique that can be employed by anyone, anywhere, for any reason and no reason. BushCheney: PropagandaMeisters bending reality to their will.

So yes, 13 years into a fake war on a technique, we have untold thousands dead, real dead people in real countries, and it still goes on.

That's what we get for treating terrorists like soldiers instead of like criminals.

We are seeing history in both its making and its repeat. Despair and arousal are both in play.

The end is nearer to the beginning than we are to either.

My response was just a thought shared with folks here.

re: We are seeing history in both its making and its repeat. Despair and arousal are both in play.

This has happened before, and yet we take a failed course. Some fear, others prepare for battle, they will come to head.

re: The end is nearer to the beginning than we are to either.

Life is an infinite circle as far as we know. Where we are is relative to where we find ourselves.

The two poems refer to each other.

All right, all right, I'll bingle it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jabberwocky

Yep, it's the jabberwocky.
And oh look at that, I was wrong, The Hunting of the Snark doesn't refer to the Jabberwocky, it refers to another of Carrols mythical bad guys; the Bandersnatch.
