Romney huddling with key members of 2012 team tonight ("he’d be an outstanding president")

Romney huddling with key members of 2012 team tonight

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who has been encouraged by his allies to consider another run for the White House, will meet with several of his former political advisers Wednesday in Menlo Park, Calif., for a private dinner.

The dinner will be held at a Madera, a Michelin-starred New American restaurant about a mile from Stanford University’s campus, shortly after he lectures at Stanford University on presidential politics, according to Republicans familiar with his plans. Kelli Harrison, a spokesperson for Romney, confirmed the details of Romney’s swing through Northern California.

But some Romney associates, including prominent donors and consultants, have privately insisted that he remains interested in a possible return to the national stage, and that he is waiting to see how the GOP field unfolds before he makes a final decision on his future.

“Talking to lots of people close to him, I know the idea is still alive and certainly there are many of us who think he’d be an outstanding president,” said former Minnesota Republican congressman Vin Weber, a former Romney adviser, in an interview Wednesday. “But they will make a mistake if they think that his status allows him to wait for a long period of time. What Bush understands is that the advantage of having so-called front-runner status is that a lot of people will sign up early on.”

Romney would no doubt prefer to wait to announce and try to come in as a savior for the party. Jeb is locking up the support of the GOP donor class and is forcing Romney's hand

just so we can run ads of him lying about the Jeep plants moving from Ohio to China.

No (R) has ever won the White House without winning Ohio and Rmoney has no real chance of ever winning Ohio.

The more clowns in the car the better as far as I am concerned.

Run Mitt Run!!!

Stephen "Laser" Haas operates Collateral Logistics Inc. (CLI) a company which was appointed to oversee the liquidation of assets in the bankruptcy of eToys in 2001. He has now filed suit against Mitt Romney along with his company Bain Capital, Goldman Sachs, and several other firms, over actions taken in the eToys bankruptcy which manipulated the sale price, costing the companies shareholders millions.

6. "Front Runner Status"

How can someone be a front runner if the haven't had any primaries yet? The news just decides who the front runners are and then decides who they will let into the debates. The Republicans get this wall street turd and we get Hillary. Then if anyone progressive tries to run we will be told by some jag like Chris Matthews that they are unelectable because they are too extreme and divisive and only a centrist DINO wall street bankster hack can get the votes. Then the voters will shuffle in like turtles and vote for someone they don't like because the news media told them that this person is the most electable.

everyone else. That advantage is minimized with Jeb in the race. But hey, please proceed, Governor.
