Well, Rand Paul will be out of the GOP race early now.

Paul has been very critical of Obama killing al-Awlaki.

Every last one of his opponents will throw that back in his face early on in the race.

If Paul is smart, he'll concentrate on his re-election campaign and give 2016 a pass. There's no way he gets the GOP nomination after being critical of the taking out of a blatant terrorist, regardless of that terrorist's citizenship status.

Of course, that's also not so good where Paul is concerned because he also had that white supremacist aid.

There is no need to leave the race early for the GOP. Running for president is all about bilking the Republican elite money people for every dime you can. As long as you convince one of them to love you, you can run all the way through with no chance to win. How do we know this... well that's what happened 2012 and the current GOP congress seems to indicate there are a lot of would be king makers out there and they all want to be heard.

Most of the big money men are trying to settle early on the candidate which is best for Bush.

Rand Paul faces an either/or decision; leave the Senate to run for Prez or, forget the Presidency and run for re-election. I hope he goes for the Presidency.

I wonder, would he be able to do both runs for a very short time and still go for re-election when he gets flushed from the race in early GOP primaries.
