Is there something deeply wrong with anyone who

supports killing people over a cartoon.

The latest argument being offered by the "Islamist terrorism is our fault" nuanced thinking folks explicitly repudiates the idea that people kill over cartoons because there is simply something deeply wrong with them. Rather, we should understand what we must do to share the planet with them, i.e. how do we appease them so they won't kill us for blasphemy. See this cartoon.

decided to kill. The cartoons just gave them a cause. There most definately is something wrong with militants and we should not change our lives to adjust to their hate.

It's not talking about fitting in with "those who support killing over cartoons", or "how do we appease them so they won't kill us for blasphemy". I suspect you know that, but have chosen to make a poll about your own caricature instead, which is unfortunate.

It does say there's something deeply wrong with the killers. You've ignored that. It asks about Muslims in general, why many cannot laugh off the images (not that they support the killings over the images), and how we can sort out how to share a world with the Muslims who cannot laugh off the images.

this stuff and are more than capable of going through life without looking for reasons to be offended.

There is plenty that offends most people. That is modernity--the Internet especially.

Coping with that is everyone's burden. The solution is not sanitizing the planet.

I'd say the cartoonist is stereotyping Muslims as fanatic fundamentalists.

and until you realise that, this poll is pointless. You wrote the cartoon "explicitly repudiates the idea that people kill over cartoons because there is simply something deeply wrong with them". But what the cartoon explicitly says is "certainly something was deeply wrong with the killers". You have got it 100% the wrong way round.

of what satire is and you definitely are inventing imaginary people who "support killing people over a cartoon".

Who the f*ck has supported killing someone over a cartoon?

Why do you think the cartoon you reposted is relevant to your remark about some people being supportive of murder?

You have drifted off course.
