...who would you prefer to announce in her place? Elizabeth Warren has said that she is not running. But, could she be persuaded to run if Hillary decides against it??
It's time for a woman President, don't you think??

(45,851 posts)Obama didn't completely run it, he was the first non white male, Hillary can still be the first female and the first spouse of a POTUS to also assume the role.
As we say in Oceania, double plus inevitable.

(62,265 posts)Hillary running would be entertaining at first, but then it'd be years of hate on her. It'd follow a similar trajectory as Obama but she'd probably be more calculating and have a few more wins on her side.
Warren running and Clinton not would be amazing, and brilliant, and genius, and if she didn't lose in the primaries (unlikely), her presidency would make Obama's look like a genius multi-faceted multi-dimensional chess player.
All I got left with politics is whether it would be the most entertaining and hilarious, and a Warren Presidency would do that for me, so much.

(62,265 posts)I think the Republicans will fail epically if they don't run a very legitimate and cohesive woman candidate.
It is what it is, but we've gone 226 years without a woman President. It's time. The time is now. And it will happen. It's Clinton's to lose.
Clinton loses the primaries only to another woman. Clinton loses the general only to another woman. That's my take. Take this as sexist if you will. But that's how I see it.

Just in case Hillary decides she like being a grandmother more than being President.
