One Student's Epic Tweets Call Out the Biggest Hypocrites Marching for Free Speech In Paris

llions of people took to the streets of Paris and cities across France on Sunday to rally in defense of free speech and against terrorism in the wake of Wednesday's deadly attack on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. The French Interior Ministry told the Associated Press that 3.7 million marched throughout France, making the demonstrations the largest in the country's history.

Adding to the symbolic weight of the demonstrations, more than 40 world leaders joined the start of the Paris march, linking arms in an act of solidarity. But as Reporters Without Borders points out, their policies at home are far from compatible with the solidarity for free speech on display throughout France.

The organization said Sunday that it was "appalled by the presence of leaders from countries where journalists and bloggers are systematically persecuted such as Egypt (which is ranked 159th out of 180 countries in RWB's press freedom index), Russia (148th), Turkey (154th) and United Arab Emirates (118th)."

"We must demonstrate our solidarity with Charlie Hebdo without forgetting all the world’s other Charlies," Reporters Without Borders Secretary-General Christophe Deloire said in a statement. "It would be unacceptable if representatives of countries that silence journalists were to take advantage of the current outpouring of emotion to try to improve their international image and then continue their repressive policies when they return home. We must not let predators of press freedom spit on the graves of Charlie Hebdo."

And it's not only them.

Are we to believe that all 3.7 million marchers in France who claimed to be Charlie would be willing to die rather than drop some cartoons that were the subject of specific and repeated threats from known terrorists?

If we take a close look, Hamas tends to embrace journalists so they can push for the truth to get out to the world for us to see. Israel is working and failing to block it all. Netanyahu have too much blood on his hand yet he showed up for Paris rally when he was specifically told NOT to.

It was not long ago a country needed an enemy to aid in pushing its ideology now the world needs an enemy to push its ideology. And they have found one they all can agree on and it is Muslims. The truth is they have met the enemy and it is us!

Always wondering that thought, it was a sight to see, plus President Obama sent a message, not going to be there. See you some other time…

It took courage to parade down the street, only one IED and a lot of the political structure would change.

So the march for free speech went forward. As ellenrr says “Hypocrites Marching”. Many agree that the free speech is shunted especially in this Internet. I wonder what Snowden is thinking now.

Europe is loaded with a world-wide double standard particularly in the banking arena. Now reading the book “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown 2003 just in chapter forty two Brown describes Switzerland’s reputation for secrecy in banking, an incredible gift for thieves and business people.

“The bread and butter of its operations was by far its oldest and simplest offering - the anonyme Lagar – blind drop services, otherwise known as anonymous safe-deposit boxes. Clients wishing to store anything from stock certificates to valuable paintings could deposit their belongings anonymously, through a series of high tech veils of privacy, withdrawing items at anytime, also in total anonymity”.

Thieves could rest easy knowing their stolen goods were safe and could never be traced to them. Or have the laws changed?

Anyone could imagine during Vietnam and Iraq wars, and others before trillions of dollars likely have been shifted through this bank… The walk examples the corruption in business across the world having a banking system like this.

Perhaps President Obama himself has had enough.
