Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsBeware online scalpers! I got snookered by them last year.
They buy up tickets for concerts, plays, etc., and resell them online at exorbitant prices.
Just now, I googled to find prices for Wicked, soon coming to the Peace Center.
Heres what I found:
http://www.myboxofficetickets.com/ Tickets Range from $233 - $347
http://www.eventticketscenter.com/ Range from $212 - $329
http://www.peacecenter.org/ Range from $60 - $115
Sometimes when youre searching, these scalpers come up at the top of the list. They can look like the real Peace Center or whatever, if you dont look closely.
Be warned!

(3,937 posts)with cash and buy, only, from someone who is going in and has extra tickets at the last minute. Pay face value -- whatever they paid at the box office.
Out of the thousands of seats they sell there is always someone who's friend couldn't make it, got sick, didn't pay them, etc.
I saw "Nine", "Lion King" and "Spamalot" like that. If the weather is poor or it is a workday (Tues-Thurs) I have always had good luck. And you can tell who is a real theatre-goer pretty easily.

I have never bought from a scalper and I never will.
I'd rather miss the event than give money to those vermin.
