OAKLAND -- For three years the family wondered. They worried. They hoped.
Then this week, the phone call came.
Their stolen dog, Hana, a Shiba Inu, had turned up on the streets of Oakland and was waiting for them at the city's animal shelter on 29th Avenue.
A microchip planted inside the small Shiba Inu had helped Hana find its way home.

to get my baby back! It always me great angst about chipping because microchips have associated with cancer so I have not chipped my dogs.

That dog is chipped.
My Westies are chipped, and I'm considering GPS chips, too.

what kind of bastard steal a dog. The emotional pain to the family is over the top. What kind of fee could you get for a dog?
