21. I think this unfortunate child, who sustained traumatic brain and spinal cord injury

(resulting in quadriplegia) in a car accident at age 6, has been egregiously exploited by his family. When I read this post, it seemed unlikely to me that he actually "wrote" the book in the first place, so I googled to find out more. The book turns out to be "co-written" by him and his dad Kevin, a self-described "Christian therapist" with no legitimate credentials. It sounds as if he is the one behind this fraud. The parents have subsequently divorced and the mom wants to set the record straight, but it sounds like she too is putting words in the kid's mouth at this point, as Alex's "statement" sounds suspiciously like her blog postings. Very, very sad for this kid, all the way around.
