Charlie Hebdo Attack: Pakistani Legislators Chant 'Death to Blasphemers'

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Dozens of Pakistani lawmakers chanted "death to blasphemers" during a march Thursday decrying the publication of Prophet Muhammad cartoons in French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Yousaf, who led the brief demonstration of around 40 people outside parliament in Islamabad, said: "All political parties are with us ... All Muslim countries should condemn these blasphemous cartoons."

just because you haven't heard of it is no reason to think it does not exist or didn't happen.

Case in point: until this Charlie Hebdo incident, I had never even heard of this magazine, and I (used to) consider myself fairly well tuned in.

It makes me wonder, what else am I missing? And HOW did I miss that? Could our media have something to do with it?

Animated; catchy tunes; lots of social commentary delivered in a fun way; touching father-son moments; and a terrifying ending (OK, not really)

Albanian Muslims hid Jews during WWII: http://besathepromise.com/

Theocracy, howwever, in all forms, never ends well. I also wonder when we can stop pretending Pakistan is an ally.

You're much too serious. Rather than death for blasphemy why not blasphemy for blasphemy? Get out there and fiercely call those damn cartoonists the illiterate spawn of the devil and let it go at that, k? Maybe draw a cartoon of them with horns or something. Can you draw? Then have a few drinks and laugh it off.
