I certainly did a double take at the second headline: "Manchester United legend displays refreshing sense of perspective for a footballer." Was this a slam at most, many, all other footballers?

I think his comments linking tough economic times with the rise in extremism is on target. “What is dangerous, once again, is to take advantage of the despair of some people, to spread crazy ideas. Those who do it, create and develop hate for political purposes, for power purposes." I am sure we have all encountered unemployed people who blame immigrants or affirmative action or such for their woes. The republicans are quite efficient at fueling these feelings for political purposes, as are other groups.
