The Republicans start clapping about his not having any more campaigns, so he then quipped, "I know 'cause I won both of them!" And the Democrats started stomping and clapping and cheering to beat the band. (His facial expression after the clip was the best part, I think.)

high opinion of himself. What a great person. Michelle and his children and the rest of his family are very lucky.

He is a great president and a wonderful person. That's an unusual combination. FDR was a great president but sometimes not such a great person.

That was a wonderful speech. Positive. With proposals for the future. It was a looking-forward speech. I am thrilled and proud of our President.

President Obama looks at them.

Turning it around so the applause could be interpreted as they were applauding because he won. It was a pretty classy way to deal with what amounts to heckling.

...the same feed. It was only after the speech that I saw the networks had their own and had both Biden and Boner on the screen throughout. I saw some excerpts afterward, and Boner's reaction to some of the comments were priceless - at times he looked like he was having a hard time staying awake, other times he looked like he couldn't wait to get out for a smoke and a drink.

Overall, it was the most "stick it up your ass" State of the Union message that I've seen in 30-40 years that I've watched.

And they should realize that President Obama was re-elected twice, so by now none of their snarky comments, or yelling out "You lie", is going to affect the way he carries out his job as President of these United States.
