Do Republicans think we don't know anything about current events

Joni Ernst

"One you've probably heard about is the Keystone jobs bill. President Obama has been delaying this bipartisan infrastructure project for years, even though many members of his party, unions, and a strong majority of Americans support it. The President's own State Department has said Keystone's construction could support thousands of jobs and pump billions into our economy, and do it with minimal environmental impact. We worked with Democrats to pass this bill through the House. We're doing the same now in the Senate.
President Obama will soon have a decision to make: will he sign the bill, or block good American jobs?"

Really right now your pimping Keystone? What jobs could this create? Has Joni not been following the stock market the past month and a half. Who would propose an oil pipe line in the middle of one of the greatest industry wide collapses in the last 30 years. Pretty much every major producer is shutting down production at the moment. It is nice the GOP had a jobs program, but their jobs program is to bolster an industry currently not economically favorable. Was I not suppose to notice this?

Do they disrespect our intelligence that much?

Also, that bread bag story comes from the Depression. She wasn't old enough to live through that, so you can imagine the rest of her speech is pretty disingenuous too. I think that speech was intended solely for her Tea Bagger base and they are that stupid.

A good number of America don't pay any attention at all, and then another chunk only watches Fox News.

Those of us who pay attention, try to figure out what's going on and speak out about it, are not the majority.

That's why people like Ernst get elected. They are a reflection of voters.
