SANBORNVILLE, N.H. —Frustrations continue as mediated negotiations between FairPoint and unions representing striking workers go into their third week.

Closed-door talks have been ongoing since the parties were called to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 4. Workers have been on strike since October.

FairPoint customer Albert Valdez said he has been without phone and Internet service since the strike began. He said he built a new house and then called FairPoint for service.

"I contacted FairPoint the first week of October just before the strike," he said. "Things went perfect, and the week after that, I heard nothing."
