Push For Fetal Rights Is The Next Big Battle.

The assault on family planning itself begins in earnest in the next two years. We have voted on personhood in Colorado 2 or 3 times now and I imagine it will be on the ballot in another form again by 2016. The latest idea is that fetal rights trump everything and all the rights of the woman. And the goal is to get personhood passed somewhere and eventually force the Supreme Court to decide while there are still at least 5 ultra conservatives on the court. The bet is that ruling in favor of person hood and fetal rights Roe V Wade and reproductive rights will be destroyed everywhere in the country.

The religious right is planning a blitzkrieg from every direction to win this battle. GOP wins in 2014 has emboldened the pro lifers more than ever now. The fact the women's voting fell or more crazy people won has energized fundies.
